Srba Živković (20) died on October 1 at around 3.30 in the morning when he was in the car driven by his friend SB (27) as co-driver.

The accident occurred when SB entered the Nikola Tesla Boulevard roundabout, and then did not follow the path but went straight ahead and first collided with a concrete pot about fifteen meters away, and then the pillar of the former company “Nis Auto “. It struck from the side, where the injured young man was in the passenger seat.

Since this morning, friends and relatives have come to the Zivkovic family to express their condolences. His father, Miloš Živković, says he got up at six in the morning when police informed him of his son’s death, which left him shocked.

– I do not know what to say. I have not held him and my sister since I was a child. I worked day and night to take them on tour and I can’t understand why I now have to bury him when he became his own man – commented Miloš Živković.

He says that Serbs dated SB every day and that the driver sent him messages from the Clinical Center apologizing.

Jovanka and George V, one of the injured young man’s best friends, had only words of praise for the Serbian.

– It’s terrible what happened. We cannot understand that it no longer exists. He was always a smiling, cheerful boy, ready to joke. He worked in a bag factory. They were both in the SB and there were some friends they took home, and the tragedy happened when they were returning to Gornja Vrežina. He loved the life of a Serb, in a word, he was a bohemian. That’s why he was always welcome in all companies because he was happy – says Jovanka through tears.

An eyewitness and security worker for the company whose building the BMW collided, Slaviša Savić, called an ambulance, but the Serb was already dead.

There was a loud bang, broken glass. The guy who got out of the car, held his head and kept saying “wow what I did, wow what I did”. I called the ambulance and the police. I felt my pulse, I didn’t feel anything, but those are the moments. This guy who was driving wanted to get it out of the car but I told him not to get it unprofessionally we don’t know what broke. We hoped he was alive – explains Savić.

Ivan Krstić, Councilor of the Niš City Assembly and in charge of security in the Stevan Sinđelić settlement, says accidents often happen here.

– People are constantly dying here on this boulevard. Despite the traffic lights, the signals, something is happening, so motorcyclists are constantly landing off the road, and last night it seems to have been affected by rain, so the BMW with the rear trailer probably slipped, says Krstić .

Further investigation will determine all the exact details of this tragedy.
