Nišlija Marko Arsić (32), who, thanks to his comic character “Familijo be”, gained numerous fans on social networks and YouTube, was sentenced to three years in prison for drug production.

Serbian police issued an arrest warrant in 2018, because instead of serving his sentence, he fled to China. The desire for popularity will cost you dearly, considering that you have discovered your residence, for which you are threatened with a court order from Interpol.

Arsić was arrested in 2016 for growing four stems of cannabis in the Nis settlement of Donja Vrežina near Nišava, from which he obtained 105.55 grams of dried plants.

In addition to marijuana, police found a small amount of the drug MDMA, better known as ecstasy, during a search of his apartment. Marko did not deny that he planted marijuana, but claimed that he used it for his own needs because, as he claimed, he has been a user of this narcotic for 14 years.

However, he denied blame for the ecstasy and already claimed that one of his guests had been forgotten in his apartment.

The court accepted his defense, considering that there was no evidence that Arsić dealt in narcotics and that the expertise showed that he was a user of psychoactive substances because he was positive for both marijuana and cocaine.

However, the claim that the ecstasy was not from his court he did not find credible because, as stated in the verdict, that it was, he had no reason to keep it, but could return it to the owner or throw it away.

Arsić was sentenced by the court to a draconian sentence of four floors and a bit of ecstasy because, as indicated in the court’s decision, he did not show a shred of remorse for the act he was charged with.

The mitigating factor is the poor economic situation of the accused, but the aggravating factors prevailed, the total lack of remorse, because in his closing remarks he said that he would have produced more marijuana if he could have – is stated in the Superior Court decision. .

Fled across the border

However, the verdict was left dead on paper because Arsić did not wait for it to be made enforceable, but instead fled across the border. In recent statements to the media, and because of the fame he gained as a comedian, he said that he is in China where he teaches English.
