All the eyes of the epidemiologist are on Leskovac, that is, the “Jura” factory, where yesterday’s balance of those infected with the crown was 68 workers, but also Vranje, where 10 of them were infected in two companies, so that one was closed.
However, the greatest danger to the overall epidemiological situation in Serbia is the Korean “Jura” factory, which employs 2,850 workers, which is why the Nis authorities, led by the professor. Dr. Branislav Tiodorović, epidemiologist and crisis staff member of the Republic, to find a way to prevent the spread of kovid. That is why today, as Goran Cvetanović, the mayor of Leskovac and the head of the crisis staff, told Kurir yesterday, more than 2,200 workers will be evaluated, because in the previous period, about 600 of them have already been examined, and there are 2,850 in total.
– Due to the general situation, the day before yesterday we had a meeting with the managers of the hospital, the Health Center, the Institute of Public Health, who were attended by prof. Dr. Branislav Tiodorovic, as well as doctors from the Clinical Center in Nis. Particular attention should be paid to the organized transport of workers to “Jure” and to the working conditions in the factory, because, unfortunately, what we feared and what we warned the factory management happened. From the first case recorded at the factory, he now had 68 positive cases, of which 34 are in the hospital. It is good that they have a clearer clinical picture of the disease, Cvetanović said.
The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia (SSSS) warned yesterday that the “Jure” administration continued to violate sanitary and health regulations and that the company plant has been and continues to be the main micro focus of the crown since the beginning of the pandemic. – The labor inspectorate has been operating twice, but management continues to act irresponsibly and inhumanely. Employees are called to work regardless of whether they have been in contact with patients and have to work side by side, despite recommendations that they should be more than two meters away, and those who refuse to work. they are threatened with dismissal – said SSSS and requested that the authorities file criminal charges against the “Jure” administration.
At the same time, in Vranje, as confirmed by Kurir at the Institute of Public Health, eight were infected at the “Dodić” furniture factory and two at the “Deni stil” shoe factory. The first is closed, while “Danny Style” works and employs 150 people.

Epidemiologist Dr. Sladjan Stankovic of the Vranje Institute of Public Health said that “Dodic”, where there are 200 workers, was closed for two weeks, while the virus incubation lasted, disinfection was carried out and the workers are isolated. – We are now looking for more patients, tests and examinations of close contacts are being carried out. The infection was most likely introduced by one of the employees. The epidemiological situation in Vranje has changed from stable to uncertain. The positive percentage is seven percent of the number of samples, and it was less than three percent. Distance measures are not respected, which is obvious at every step, in front of banks, post offices, public institutions. Masks are not used indoors. Every relaxation is transferred to family and work collectives, said Dr. Sladjan Stankovic, adding that the capacities at Kovid hospitals are full.

In the last 24 hours, according to data from yesterday at 3 in the afternoon, two more people died in Serbia, so the total number of deaths is 224. In 24 hours, 6,194 people were analyzed, of which 79 had a positive result, representing a slight increase. the day before, when there were 52 positives. The situation in “Jura” contributed to the increase in the number of positives. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 162,797 people have been tested in Serbia, and the total number of infected is 10,374. The mortality rate is 2.15 percent. There are 949 people in hospitals, and as of yesterday, a total of 4,084 have been cured.
Goran Cvetanović “Jura” says 50 percent of workers work
Goran Cvetanović states that “Jura” has 18,000 square meters in one plant, 15,000 in another: – Management informed me that there are 50 percent fewer workers in the plants than before this situation, they work three shifts. Furthermore, as stated by “Jure”, in this period, 70 percent of workers should work to complete purchase orders for the Czech Republic and other markets. They said they managed to convince business partners that they had to be late for delivery of goods because of the crown.

“Danny Style” No contact on the tape
“Danny Style” officials said they took everything they needed from the factory right from the start. – We have distributed visors, masks, gloves to people and we disinfect the room every two hours. There is no contact between the workers, people sit one behind the other with their backs turned, next to the conveyor belt, they have no contact. We really don’t know where and how the virus came from. Workers for whom doctors estimated they should be tested and isolated will not work for 14 days, they told us in “Danny Style,” which opened a competition for 50 other workers.
