The trial continued with the testimony of telecommunications expert Dragoljub Vasiljevic.

Vasiljevic said that on the day of the assassination, Marjanovic knowingly switched off his mobile phone in the period between 4:38 PM and 4:04 PM.

According to experts, Jelena and Zoran Marjanović met around 5 pm

However, the defense and the entire legal team of Marjanović wanted to question this expertise stating that the application with which the measurement was made was not valid.

It was also concluded that if the signals from the mobile device are measured from the top of the embankment, these signals are recorded at the base station, while if it comes down from the side, these signals are not recorded.

When Marjanović’s phone was re-registered, he made the first call to his wife.

Zoran Marjanović did not appear at the last hearing, scheduled for September 24, due to illness. He is charged with the crime of aggravated homicide of his wife Jelen Marjanović, for which he faces up to 40 years in prison. It defends itself against freedom.

He was detained several times, but each time after questioning and a polygraph he was released for lack of evidence. Following the witness’s testimony, he was arrested in 2017, and after 10 months in custody, he was released to defend himself.
