Micic, probably the largest businessman in western Serbia, was treated in the best hospitals in Moscow due to complications caused by the virus, he was on a ventilator for the last seven days, but he did not manage to overcome the disease.

Vasilije Mićić was born in Rožanstvo. He finished primary school in Rožanstvo and Sirogojno and secondary school in Užice. He graduated from the Belgrade Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Immediately after graduating from university, in 1971, he got a job at Putevi Užice. His upward career led him to the position of director in 1986.

The Uzice highways later carried out major works in Iraq, Russia and Israel. He founded his high-rise and civil construction company in Russia in 1992, which quickly grew into several companies.

During the privatization, it became the majority owner of several national companies: Putevi Užice, “Granit Peščar” from Ljig, Putevi Novi Pazar and the hotel and catering company Palisad in Zlatibor.

He is also known as a great humanist and donor of numerous social and cultural actions, especially actions in his native land.
