The explosive device placed under the jeep of Strahinja Stojanović (30), who was killed in New Belgrade on Sunday, was probably set off by a cyclist, who was in the vicinity, according to Kurir only.
It was filmed by cameras
– The images of the security cameras of the surrounding buildings were reviewed and the movement of all the passers-by who were found near the Omladinskih Brigada street at the time of the explosion was verified. Investigators were most attracted to a man dressed as a professional cyclist, who was filmed on cameras as he passed not far from where Stojanović blew up, reveals Kurir’s source from the investigation.

According to him, the bicycle corresponding to the one in the video was found thrown into the Sava River, near the promenade in Block 45 in New Belgrade, and it is suspected that the murderer fled with it from the scene of the explosion.
– The man, whose identification is being worked on, had a helmet and a cap on his head, which did not arouse the suspicion of passers-by because professional cyclists usually wear that protective equipment – added the interlocutor.
The investigation also established that between one and one and a half kilograms of pentrite explosives were placed under the BMW, under the driver’s seat.
– The explosion was directed and the infernal device was assembled by a professional. It should be determined whether the rider only activated the pump remotely or placed it beforehand, says the source.
We remind you that his girlfriend from Colombia, Sonja Suárez Gómez (45), was in the jeep with Stojanović. As Kurir wrote, investigators suspect that she aided the killers because she regularly posted photos and places where the two are staying on her Instagram profile.
Associated with murders
Remember that Stojanović survived an identical explosion in 2018, but also that he was known to the Serbian and European police. He was convicted in the Netherlands and related to the murder of lawyer Mišo Ognjanović.
– There is operational data that he was close to Miloš Delibašić, convicted of being part of the group that killed Luka Bojović’s brother, Nikola, as well as Miloš Vidaković, Strahinja’s godfather. The murdered lawyer was Bojović’s defense lawyer, recalls the interlocutor.

Sonja Suárez Gómez (45) of Bogotá, who was slightly injured in the blast, told investigators that she attended auto races with Stojanović on Sunday in Ušće.
After questioning, he was prohibited from leaving Serbia until the end of the investigation.
– He’s in a difficult state of mind. She said they were happy before the explosion and that they intended to go to the races, the source reveals, adding that she said she was not even aware of what happened.
– Strahinja was screaming in pain, I tried to get him out. A passerby also ran and helped me – she allegedly said and explained that she met the Serbian in 2019 in Madrid, at a party.
– They entered into an intimate relationship, but soon he traveled to Miami with his daughter. When he returned to Madrid, they continued the relationship. She was in Serbia for the first time at the beginning of the year, and then she was again with her daughter for a short time, who gave birth. She arrived in Serbia in March, says the source.
Sonja also revealed that she traveled around Serbia with Strahinja, and in Belgrade they trained and went to restaurants.
