Epidemiologist Predrag Kon tells RTS that it is “an exaggerated debate this weekend” because, he says, it is the last weekend with a ban. It can ruin everything, says Kon.

Predrag Kohn told RTS that doctors had insisted that this extended weekend should be endured.

– The idea was to completely relax older people, which is, in our opinion, the most important thing at the moment, to guarantee that they can walk freely throughout the period, that was the essence of the proposal, unless we have the Frequency This avoided contact, ”said Kon.

He said the proposal was for the ban to last from 6 p.m. M. From Thursday until 5 p.m.

– I suppose that the profession will accept, each one will individually declare how it usually is. It will probably be as proposed – Kon said.

He said this weekend is especially significant because, as he says, it is widely known that there are famous gatherings and gatherings outside during the May Day holiday.

“The weather is in favor of the fact that humid weather makes it more difficult to transmit the virus, which is relatively good,” says Kon.

He thinks this weekend’s debate is “absolutely exaggerated” because, he says, it would be the last weekend with a ban. According to Kon, it could happen that everything is broken.

– I am not feeling well about it, I think I should resist, but I understand that it is always better to implement a compromise because this leads to a manufactured and exaggerated problem. People don’t know how serious and deadly the disease is, that every fifth elderly man with chronic diseases dies, Kon says.

Now everything, he says, is in our consciousness.

– This behavior, this insistence on this weekend shows that not all of us have reached this awareness, it is clear. If it’s so important to someone that the last three days … Well, I don’t have a problem with that, but I don’t feel good because it shows that we’re still not reasonable about what we’re fighting together, Kon says.

When it comes to ending the state of emergency, epidemiologist Kon says this will happen when virus activity is very low for a week. Thereafter, he says, the virus will need to be continuously monitored.

“If it goes up again, we will have to act,” Con concluded.
