In Serbia, 21,476 citizens were tested for the corona virus in the last 24 hours, which is the largest number tested in one day so far.
Of that number, 6,842 citizens are positive. Unfortunately, 37 patients died.
There are 225 ventilator patients in hospitals across Serbia and 729 were hospitalized.
Infected by cities: Belgrade 1,917, Novi Sad 407, Kragujevac 320, Pancevo 239, Nis 236, Cacak 175, Kraljevo 169, Smederevo 123, Zrenjanin 112, Subotica 99, Vrbas 90, Uzice 81, Vranje 81, Leskovac 72, others less than 70.
In social institutions, 753 users and 437 employees are infected
The Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans Affairs and Social Affairs announced that 753 users and 437 employees were infected in social protection institutions for the accommodation of users and homes for the accommodation of adults and the elderly. The total number of cured users of social protection institutions is 1,262 and the number of cured people employed in social protection institutions is 527.
Users of social protection institutions who are estimated to be potential carriers of the virus are isolated, while employees of social protection institutions, where there is such danger, do not come to work and are in home isolation, it is stated in the ad.
Minister Zlatibor Lončar said today, after the meeting with the directors of the Kovid hospitals, that the situation is the most difficult in Belgrade and Novi Sad and that now the priority is that every seriously ill person gets a place in the hospital, a bed and care, adding that patients are now sent to a temporary hospital.
