The provincial secretary of Health and member of the crisis staff of the Republic, Zoran Gojkovic, said that Serbia should monitor what is happening in the surrounding countries and Europe regarding the corona virus and warned that it is not realistic for our country to be an island. isolated and that there will certainly be an increase. infected.

Gojković told TV Pink that all of Europe is burning in terms of the number of people infected by the corona virus, that almost everyone has already tightened the measures and in that sense he affirms that Madrid is already in quarantine, a curfew has been introduced in Berlin, and there have never been patients in Bulgaria.

– It is not realistic that we are an isolated island, it is certain that the number of infected will also increase in our country, which will come with the change of climate, that is, cooling – said Gojković.

He explains that people will spend more time indoors and points out that that’s why the good situation is that Serbia has the lowest number of infected in all of September and almost half of October.

– But, soon we will enter the number of infected people, which is somewhat dramatic – warns Gojković.

The provincial secretary also says that the panic should not spread and points out that since there will be no vaccines for some time, as if no cure had been found for Covid 19, we must respect the basis in the fight against the coronavirus, which is adherence to all epidemiological standards. measures: distance, masks, personal hygiene care, increased immunity.

– That gives us confidence that we will increase the number of infected people as soon as possible – emphasizes Gojković.

He also points out that it is necessary that we do not have fast, strong, explosive spikes that would affect a large number of infected people in a short period of time and thus burden the health system.

Gojković says that there are no problems in Serbia related to the therapeutic protocol and claims that the state has provided everything: protective equipment, medicines, medical devices.

– But, we must not allow a large number of people to get sick in a short period of time, because when you receive 1,000 patients in a day, no health system in the world can support it and that is why we need to stretch the number of infected – says Gojković.
