Two businessmen, considered close to Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, have sold part of their business in that country, Montenegrin media report.

Controversial businessman Brano Mićunović sold half of his business to the Turks with the construction of a hotel complex in Budva, writes the Dan newspaper.

The Turkish company “Merit Montenegro” will bear half of the costs of the investment, which is expected to be almost 17 million euros, and will own half of the luxury hotel complex in the center of Budva, announced “Dan “from Podgorica.

According to the newspaper, the Turkish company has registered as co-owner of the land on which a 12-storey hotel should be built.

As In4s reported, Mićunović is one of a number of entrepreneurs close to the outgoing regime of Milo Đukanović, who decided to share his business with overseas companies in the last month.

According to the information on that portal, the controversial Montenegrin businessman Veselin Vesko Barović also decided to sell a large part of his property in early September.

On September 1, Barovic announced the liquidation of the open investment fund “Eurofond”, on September 2 it sold “Svis osiguranje” and on September 3 it transferred part of the shares of “Mimoza Hotel Tivat”.

The portal previously announced that after the elections in Montenegro, Montenegro’s demand for apartments in the elite Belgrade settlements of Vracar and Dedinje jumped, referring to a real estate agency.
