The new Serbian ambassador to Washington, Marko Đurić, has started his trade obligations in the United States of America. He shared it on his profile on the social network Twitter.
– On the first day of work at the Serbian Embassy in the United States, the enthusiasm and adrenaline surged! Serbia and the United States will work more closely than ever for a better future for all – said Đurić.
He also introduced all his associates with whom he will work in the next period at the Serbian Embassy. – My team at the embassy in Washington and I embark on the path of continuing to improve bilateral relations between our two countries in light of next 2021, in which we celebrate the 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Long live Serbia! Hail usa! – said Đurić.
Outgoing US President Donald Trump’s special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Richard Grenell, welcomed Đurić. – Welcome, Marko. “We are honored to be in America,” Grenel wrote on Twitter.

It should be recalled that on 8 October, the Government of Serbia removed Đurić from the post of Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and appointed him Ambassador of Serbia to the United States at the same session. The Washington administration agreement was reached in record time.
