The accident is presumed to have occurred when the two, driving a 125cc Yamaha engine, most likely lost control of the vehicle due to unbearable speed, landed in a gutter alongside the road, and then collided with a nearby fence.

According to unofficial information, Alex, who was riding the motorcycle, died on the spot, while his friend Petar succumbed to his injuries two hours later at the “Studenica” General Hospital in Kraljevo.
On the fateful night, the youths rode a motorcycle from nearby Otroki to Gračac, borrowing from a friend and wearing only one helmet. As they say, Petar has been riding motorcycles since he was a child, while Alexa was sitting behind the wheel of a motorcycle for the first time.
– We visited my sister in Gračac and Aleksa’s aunt. She went to the balloon in the Children where her companions gather. She was riding a motorcycle with Peter, and I don’t know why she decided to get behind the wheel when she had never done it before, says Aleksa’s father, Tomislav G.
According to him, Aleksa’s mother seemed to have a premonition of what would happen, so she warned her son several times before the accident that she was not trying to operate the engine by chance.

– If I had driven, perhaps a tragedy would not have occurred – friends say almost aloud.
– Both he and Alexa were good guys. Without them, nothing will be the same for us.
