The meeting of the delegations of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia and the Economic Committee of Monaco began today around 2.30 p.m. in the Palace of Serbia, and at the meeting our economy will present its potential in the information technology sector, the food industry and other industries in which Monaco entrepreneurs are interested.

At the beginning of the meeting, the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Marko Čadež, welcomed the delegation of the Monaco Economic Committee and invited them to invest in our country. Chadez noted that Serbia has changed a lot in the last eight years and progressed economically, and that, he says, shows the growth of Serbian GDP and the growing number of foreign investors.

He claimed that Serbia struggled well to maintain economic growth during the crown.

He told Monaco businessmen that today the Western Balkans are the right place to invest, because they have a quality workforce and the conditions for the arrival of foreign investors have improved. For Serbia and the entire region, Cadez said, the most important thing is to invest in the IT sector and infrastructure works.

He also noted that the EU and America are very interested in investing in this region, which, Chadez points out, shows the EU’s Economic and Investment Plan for the Western Balkans, worth nine billion euros, as well as the opening of a regional DFC office in Belgrade.

The Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Board of Monaco signed a Cooperation Agreement today. On behalf of the SCC, the Agreement was signed by President Marko Čadež, and on behalf of the Economic Committee of Monaco by Executive Director Guillaume Roz.

According to data from the Office of Statistics of the Republic, trade between Serbia and Monaco in the first seven months of this year amounted to 42,623 euros. Serbia exported goods in the amount of 17,875 euros to Monaco, while it imported goods in the amount of 24,248 euros from Monaco.

Serbia and Monaco have a deficit of 6,872 euros in seven months this year. The coverage of imports by exports was 72 percent.

This year, Serbia exported wooden furniture for dining rooms and living rooms to Monaco, other wooden furniture, vehicle body parts, printing machines, mirrors … Monaco only imported most of the products for beautification and care of the skin, but also control and safety valves. , catheters, cannulas, writing tables.
