The Union of Education Workers of Serbia (UPRS) reassessed that starting school is premature and unsafe for teachers and students, but that its proposal to postpone the start of the school year was rejected.
The union announced that it would hold press conferences during the week in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Cacak, Valjevo, Zajecar, Zrenjanin, Kragujevac, Kraljevo, Krusevac, Leskovac, Nis, Sombor and Uzice, where they would inform the public about the problems.

For primary and secondary school students in Serbia today the new school year begins, which is organized under special conditions due to the epidemiological situation, with fewer students in the class and with respect to the recommended measures in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus.
