The Serbian Education Workers’ Union announced today that it currently has some 5,000 employees in schools “off the system”, that is, infected with the corona virus or in isolation, making it urgent to switch to online classes.

The Union therefore calls for an urgent need to move to online teaching in both primary and secondary schools, where the situation is critical.
“We would place special emphasis on the workload of our teachers, who have been working double shifts with two groups of students since September 1, as well as with students who are massively moving to online classes.
