None of the close relatives of the injured woman could say what happened at Dušanka’s home. As the condolences of the reunited family and friends were repeated, the family’s son-in-law, Mićo Knezević, could barely gather the strength to say what happened on the fateful Thursday.
“DL has been doing the same job for fifteen years.” He fired a solid fuel boiler. It is not a question of ignorance, but an accident. He went out of the house to the boiler room, which is located in the courtyard, to start a fire and warm himself. The woman leaned against the open boiler room door. When the family suspected that she had been away for a long time, the son left the house to look for her, but she was dead. I heard that the body was in very bad condition – says Knezevic in a sad voice.
– I assume that Dushanka caught fire and I don’t know how the accident happened, if he got sick or was poisoned with carbon monoxide. She was a wonderful, cultured woman, a housewife who took care of the house. It’s terrible what happened, we lost a good person – says Knezevic.

After finding the mother, the son immediately called the Emergency Service, but the doctor could only declare death on the spot. The Kikinda police briefly said that the investigation was carried out by the prosecutor of the Zrenjanin High Prosecutor’s Office.
– After the investigation, it was determined that it was an accidental death – it was said in the Kikinda Police Department.
The unfortunate woman left behind her husband, two children, a brother and a granddaughter who will accompany her to eternal rest tomorrow, in the Banatski Veliko Selo cemetery.
