Assistant Mayor Andreja Mladenović stated today that due to the announced heavy rains, all utilities in Belgrade are ready to react if necessary.
He affirmed in a statement for Tanjug that, according to the forecasts of meteorologists, up to forty liters of rain per square meter will fall on the territory of the capital in the next 24 hours, highlighting that all public service companies in the city are taking measures. to avoid unforeseen events.
– The utility company “Belgrade Waterworks and Sewerage” will have more than twenty equipments in service. In addition, the teams “Zelenila – Belgrade”, “Beograd-whore”, “Beogradvoda”, “Gradske čistoće” are on standby – said Mladenović after the operational meeting of the Municipal Headquarters for Emergency Situations regarding the announced precipitation.
Mladenović said that at the meeting with the directors of public utilities, chaired by Deputy Mayor Goran Vesić, it was agreed to take all measures and organize the team’s duty for 24 hours, which will be ready to react if the announced precipitation Causes problems.
– It was announced that tonight, for several hours, that is, in a short period of time, almost eight liters per square meter will fall, so that all utilities will be ready – said Mladenović.
He called on citizens to report possible problems that may arise due to heavy rains through the “Beokom service”.
