The Democratic Party (DS) demands an urgent investigation into who wrote graffiti on Patriarch Pavle Boulevard in Novi Sad with the names of several young activists from opposition parties, who were branded as traitors and a potential target of revenge. The same call was made by the Free Citizens Movement, which stated that the attack was “without a doubt a response to their anti-fascist actions.”
The DS also accused the mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević, of “controlling the phalanxes of his party, which are behind these dangerous threats”, and of not allowing him “to pretend that he is also naive and uninformed this time.”
The statement indicates that next to the names of the activists are written the words “there is a list”, which, according to the DS, “represents an unequivocal and brutal threat that cannot be interpreted in any other way than as a call to assassination.” . . “
