Drama after Lončar’s meeting with the directors of the Kovid hospital

In Serbia, 1,949 health workers are infected with the corona virus, of which 64 are in hospital, Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar said today after a meeting with the directors of covid hospitals.

– If citizens care about doctors, nurses, waitresses, the entire health system … change your behavior. Cut the contacts because that’s the only way to help yourself and them – Lončar said.

He said that new covid hospitals will open today and in the coming days in several cities in Serbia.

– Today at noon, the Hospital for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery on Zvečanska Street in Belgrade will become a kovid hospital – said Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar today after a meeting with the directors of kovid hospitals.

It will have intensive care and oxygen sites, he added.

He said that patients from Belgrade began to be sent to Niška Banja and Kragujevac.

– Today, patients who will require hospital treatment, and their clinical picture is like this, will go to Niška Banja and a temporary hospital in Kragujevac. Tomorrow we will open new capacities in Vrnjačka Banja. She will start receiving kovid patients tomorrow. The most difficult situation is in Belgrade and Novi Sad, Loncar said.

He also warned that people wait the night, 22, 23 hours, to go to the doctor.

– You come during the day. Don’t wait for the night to pass. I don’t know if you think there are fewer people then – Lončar said.
