Doctors Darija Kisić Tepavčević and Predrag Kon are in front of the journalists.
– There is a growing trend in the region, there are many hot spots around us. The situation in Serbia is stable, but caution is important – said Kisić.
– Across Europe, more than 20 countries have registered record numbers of patients since the start of the pandemic. In our environment there is a growing trend when the frequency of diseases is questioned, so there are numerous critical points around us. The epidemiological situation in Serbia is stable, but uncertain and can change very quickly, and that depends on us – said Dr. Daria.
Kisic noted that we must do everything possible to maintain a stable epidemiological situation and comply with all measures to keep the virus under control.
Dr. Kon said that the favorable epidemiological situation in Serbia can only be preserved rationally.
– It is true. It is not recommended that people spend summers in Montenegro and countries where the epidemiological situation is unfavorable. We must not behave relaxed and have big celebrations – said Kon, commenting on the work of the catering facilities. – Holidays in Montenegro are currently a bad choice and a great risk, although to some it does not sound right, it is true. And we have those celebrations all the time and musical gatherings. This disease is growing dramatically in Europe, and it is as if the caterers do not understand that in this case you must understand that it is necessary to reduce transmission through their commitment. Currently it is safer to be at the Infectious Disease Clinic than at a party in Montenegro.
Kon added that he must think ahead to avoid a sudden increase in patient numbers in the future.
– We must maintain what we have achieved, and these measures that have been taken today serve to maintain the virus as much as possible when entering Serbia and to ensure that all our citizens behave accordingly after the summer. The supervision that will apply from Friday will be defined until the end, but involves the cooperation of our citizens – says Kon.
Dr. Kisić pointed out that it is necessary for all citizens of Serbia to respect the new measure.
– Citizens must report to the competent health institution within 24 hours. Supervision does not include movement control, but it is necessary to take special precautions when carrying out daily activities – said Kisić.
