In the past 24 hours, 5,263 people in Serbia were tested for the corona virus, of whom 67 tested positive, while two people died.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and the Institute “Trampoline”, the respirators of the health institutions of Serbia contain 20 patients.
Today, Dr. Predrag Kon said that he expected fewer than 100 infected people in the last 24 hours, and he had a “solid” explanation for that.
Let us remind you, yesterday we only had 2,906 people tested, of which 102 tested positive. Kon’s coefficient, that is, the number of infected in relation to the number of tested, reached 3.51 percent yesterday, which is a worrying figure, considering that the ideal is that in an epidemic it is only 0, 5 percent, so we can say that the situation is calm, and that the entire 2.5 percent should worry us. Most of those infected were again from Belgrade yesterday.
Let us remind you that the number of infected people in Serbia, especially in the capital, has been growing since last week. A new measure is in force: all catering facilities and shops are only open until 11pm, including those with gardens.
Additionally, school closings are increasingly being mentioned. As Dr. Branislav Tiodorović, epidemiologist and member of the Crisis Staff said this morning, if we have 500 people infected daily, and what is possible in 14 days, if we do not adhere to the measures, that will be considered.
He also said that this week is crucial, as the number of infected people will definitely grow in the coming days.
