In today’s crisis staff session, it was decided that all existing restrictive measures will remain in effect until Friday, December 18, when a new crisis staff session will follow. It will then be considered whether additional measures will be adopted or existing ones modified.
Furthermore, it was decided that foreign citizens can enter Serbia only with a negative PCR test, while Serbian citizens can, in addition to a negative test, choose a ten-day isolation.
“This measure will be valid from December 20, probably until January 10, depending on the epidemiological situation,” said Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević after the crisis staff session.
“Today, the crisis personnel made a decision according to which an intensified control will be carried out at the border crossings, with a mandatory PCR test for all foreign nationals who want to enter our country,” said Kisić Tepavčević.
The test will be required for all foreign citizens, regardless of the country from which they enter Serbia.
“As far as our citizens are concerned, the Constitution guarantees entry into the country and they are always welcome. They will be subject to mandatory home isolation for 10 days, if they do not have a negative PCR test. They can end that quarantine with a test of Negative PCR, “he explained. Kisic-Tepavcevic.
The downward trend in the number of new infections continued today, when 4,932 positive cases were registered (out of 15,765 analyzed), but with, unfortunately, 49 deaths.
“We see that the number of new infections is decreasing, but they are still large,” said Dr. Daria.
“There are fewer examinations in hospitals and dispensaries, but it is worrying that a higher percentage require hospitalization.”
Let us remind you, measures are currently in force that include the working hours of everything, except grocery stores, pharmacies and gas stations, until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, that is, padlocks on weekends.
