DR ĐERLEK EXPLAINS THE MOVEMENTS OF THE CRISIS STAFF: We need to see in a few days if these measures have worked and if there is a reason to introduce new ones.

Superhuman efforts provide additional places in hospitals for people with coronavirus.

There is concern that the arrival of large numbers of citizens in Serbia who could become ill here would put additional pressure on our country’s health system.

Therefore, the existing measures remain until December 15, but if they achieved what was expected, we asked the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Mirsad Đerlek.

– It is too early to evaluate and be sure that we have obtained a good result. I think that is the main reason why it was left for a few more days, so that we can summarize the real results of the existing measures – said Dr. Djerlek.

As he said, it will take a few more days to know precisely how well existing measures have worked and to consider whether to introduce new measures or extend existing ones.

– The aim of all measures is, firstly, to reduce the deterioration that is happening, to establish stabilization and to achieve improvement – Dr Đerlek specified.

As he himself says, we are still in the phase of reducing deterioration.

– We expect stabilization in a very short period of time, that’s the second point and after that the situation would improve – concluded Dr. Djerlek.
