BELGRADE – Some drivers do not deserve statistics, appeals or black rules.
The Obrenovac Road video shows arrogant and violent driving, which fortunately did not lead to a traffic accident and fatal consequences. The recording took place on Saturday in Obrenovački around 3:17 pm, between Ostružnica and Umka, RTS reported.
The sender of the video was a co-pilot in the car, and he started filming, according to RTS, because the truck driver, with a Belgrade license plate, immediately passed them over the solid double line and scratched his rear view mirror. However, an overtaking that violates all the rules was not enough for this arrogant driver, but he continued to endanger traffic and the lives of others.
Then he passed the white “Mercedes”, barely escaped from the vehicle in the opposite lane, he went a little ahead and began to overtake again, still on the complete double line, where such driving is strictly prohibited and sanctioned.
During the third, that is, the second overtaking that can be seen in the video, the driver got into the “scissors” and returned to his lane. Only by sheer luck, but also by the composure of the lane driver in the opposite direction, there was no traffic accident.
According to current law, if the entire line is crossed, crossing the lane in the opposite direction, the fine is between 15,000 and 30,000 dinars or imprisonment for up to 30 days. The license is revoked for three months and six penalty points are entered.
If such arrogant and violent behavior causes a traffic accident or endangers the safety of traffic participants, the fine is 30,000 to 50,000 dinars or 60 days in prison. The driving ban is five months, with nine penalty points.
