The Serbian Clinical Center and the Nis Clinical Center have announced a competition for the admission of hundreds of medical workers to new hospitals, and the results of these announcements show that not only are fewer doctors hired than required in this way, but also among those who got a job only because of which specialist.
At the same time, a random check of the doctors who got the position in these competitions shows that some of them are not licensed according to the data of the Serbian Medical Chamber, which was updated in August this year and published on the website of LKS.
At the same time, the Serbian Clinical Center and KC Nis did not accurately answer Danas’ questions about whether all the contracted doctors are licensed.
KCS has announced a competition for the admission of 252 doctors to work at Kovid hospital in Batajnica, and 207 are employed, of which only a dozen are specialists.
The data published on the KCS website shows that it is. for example, 80 physicians or anesthesiologists were required while one anesthesiologist was hired and the rest were non-specialized physicians.
Among those who are employed, there are also doctors who are not on the list of licensed doctors of the Serbian Medical Chamber.
Yesterday, the Clinical Center did not respond to Danas’ questions about whether the employed doctors are licensed, and how many specialist doctors and how many doctors work at the Kovid hospital in Batajnica.
The question of how many of the employed physicians graduated from college this year or last year was also not answered.
The president of the Union of Physicians and Pharmacists, Rade Panić, who is an anesthesiologist at Kraljevo hospital, says there is a lot of uncertainty about who works at Kovid hospital in Batajnica.
– Earlier I asked the question whether the doctors who entered the contest replaced the KCS specialists who went to Batajnica or came as additional employees. Among those who got the job after the competition, it can be seen that there are almost no specialists, for example, only an anesthesiologist is employed. There is nothing transparent about what is happening in the fight against the epidemic, says Panic.
In addition to the Kovid hospital in Batajnica, it was also necessary to provide missing staff for the hospital in Kruševac.
So far, various data on the number of new employees have been announced on the Nis Clinical Center website, so the announced vacancies indicate that 126 doctors, eight pharmacists and 458 nurses and technicians will be employed, and in a statement on the day of the inauguration of the hospital. more than 700 doctors and nurses and technicians “, as well as” almost 200 non-medical workers. “
At the same time, of the 20 doctors on the Krusevac hospital employee list published by KC Nis, and that our article chose “at random”, four, so a fifth is not licensed, according to LKS.
According to the data on the website of the Serbian Medical Chamber, of those 20 doctors, 14 of them have no specialization, and there are only two, one of which is from the field that is directly related to the treatment of patients with kovid: the anesthesiology.
Yesterday, the acting director of KC Nis, Zoran Perisic, did not answer precisely if the doctors working in the new Krusevac hospital are licensed, saying that only some of them have specializations, and that there are those who do not have experience before starting. to work. in this kovid hospital.
– The condition of the competition was the registration in the medical chamber. After establishing employment, doctors are obliged to contact the chamber and initiate the procedure of issuing a license, which applies to all those who were not previously employed, Perišić said in principle before the conclusion of this issue , after previously saying that it “expects an answer very soon” The Serbian Medical Chambers on whether the employed doctors have licenses, “asked after Danas.
He also said that some of the admitted doctors have specializations in internal medicine, radiology, anesthesiology, infectious diseases, etc.
– Some doctors started specializations and the rest graduated from the Faculty of Medicine. It is obvious from the age that among the admitted doctors there are those who recently graduated from the faculty, Perišić said in response, adding that all the doctors at Kruševo hospital will be “trained by a team that has been on the front lines against the crown. for nine months. ” younger doctors come into contact with the patient only after training, under the supervision of an older doctor.
– Not all doctors have a place with the patient and there will be doctors with specializations to start with. It is necessary to keep a lot of documentation, it is necessary to train the “Heliant” health information system and learn to work with the available equipment. Only then can younger doctors come into contact with the patient, under the supervision of an older doctor. And so the law prescribes, he said.
Commenting on the employment at Kovid’s new hospitals, Sasa Zivic, a doctor at the Nis Clinical Center, a professor at the Nis Medical School and a member of the United Council Against Kovid, says that everything seems to be “abusing the hunger of these work young boys”.
– When I spoke in December last year about the worrying lack of young doctors, the government “made fun” of me. Now young doctors, without experience or training, have to dedicate their lives to the work of “cosmonauts” on the “spaceship”, as government officials call these hospitals. Would they send their son to such a “spaceship”? Of course, no. They would still be on the ground and use “ground control” services. Zivic said.
“Monument of the future”
At the inauguration of the Kovid hospital in Krusevac on December 20, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said it was a “monument of the future”, that he was “proud that everything was done in historically record time” and that ” they would save many lives. ” The hospital was later said to have 150 ventilators and patient monitors, a multislice CT scanner, X-ray, ECG and dialysis machines, as well as angio and operating rooms.
There are fewer and fewer doctors in Kragujevac
More than 1,200 patients are examined every day at the Kovid dispensaries in Kragujevac, and as the Kovid ambulance employees at the Institute for Occupational Medicine say, the situation is such that there are more and more patients and fewer and fewer doctors. The Health Center, which has three kovid clinics, and whose staff also works in a temporary kovid hospital at the city fair “Šumadija Fair”, claims that the situation is more than difficult and that the biggest problem is the lack of doctors, technicians and nurses, who are getting sicker and sicker. number. At the same time, in the Kovid ambulance of the Institute of Occupational Medicine, the situation is assessed as “catastrophic”. “The big problem with our institute is that it is not networked in the Serbian healthcare system, and from there it cannot employ healthcare workers. At the same time, an increasing number of employees are suffering from kovid 19”, told Danas Nikola Erić, an X-ray technician at the kovid clinic of the Institute of Occupational Medicine, who is also president of the Sloga union at that health institution. Earlier this year, KC in Kragujevac permanently employed 245 doctors, of whom 117 doctors and 128 nurses and technicians, who had previously volunteered at kovid clinics. ZR
Required.Nurses and Technicians in Vojvodina
Health institutions in Vojvodina advertise the need to hire health workers on a daily basis and, judging by skills, nurses and technicians are the most in demand. Thus, in the General Hospital of Subotica, two temporary doctors were sought due to the greater volume of work, as well as 12 nurses, while the Health Center of the same city announced a contest requesting seven doctors, seven nurses for permanent or temporary admission. , six maids and other workers. The “Dr Radivoj Simonović” hospital in Sombor (a doctor and 22 nurse-technicians), as well as the Institute of Public Health and the Institute of Oncology were also looking for new health workers. In February this year, the Vojvodina Clinical Center recruited 155 nurses and health technicians, 23 “best graduate medical doctors” for an indefinite period and nine permanent medical doctors. This time there were no advertisements, but some special criteria for employment were applied. RB
