Dr. Tiodorović spoke about new measures, that is, shortening the working hours of catering facilities, saying that the main goals are to reduce the spread of infections and the pressure on hospitals.

– I would not use the term “padlock”. This is not a state of emergency, it is a limited working day. We need to reduce the pressure on hospitals to save lives. There is no talk of a curfew or a state of emergency, but if the Government approves it, the working hours of the catering facilities will be shortened. We do not ask for three months, we ask that the measures last at least until December 15 – says Dr. Tiodorović.

Speaking of shopping malls, the epidemiologist said he was in favor of “closing them sooner.”

When asked if schools had adapted, Branko Ruzic said that, having been taught from previous experiences, the entire education system had demonstrated “the adaptability that is urgently needed.”

– The whole transition to the online system went quite smoothly. There were some problems in Čačak, where he supervised the inspection. They voluntarily connected to the Internet, in violation of a government decree. We monitor the situation all the time – says Ruzic.

According to Aleksandar Markov of the Belgrade Gymnasium Forum, it is not specified how long the class lasts in secondary schools, which “school principals interpret in different ways.”

– No national platform for online teaching is provided. Schools that do not have a platform, must manage as they know and can – says Markov.

New digital classrooms

Minister Ružić recalled that in secondary school, one group was online, while the other went to school, so this type of teaching is not unknown to them.

– As for the Google platform, the most common is the “Google Classroom”. Domain registration is not quantum physics. The largest percentage of schools are trained for online teaching. We have 10,000 classrooms called digital, the plan is to have another 20,000 or 30,000 digital classrooms. The plan is to digitize education, not because of the crown, but because we follow trends. The system responded quickly to this challenge with the arrival of the crown – emphasizes Ruzic.

Autonomy was left to the director to organize the educational process, he added.

– It is left to them to decide due to the particularities of the system. We have 1,700 secondary and primary schools in Serbia.

About student holidays

Minister Ruzic also spoke about the party, which will start soon for students and will last longer than before.

– The semester is not drastically shortened. Approximately a third of the material has been mastered and the grading completion follows. Regarding the holidays, all the holidays that begin with San Nicolás, on December 19, and last until San Juan are included.

According to Tiodorović, there is another reason for the length of the vacation from December 21 to January 20.

– We must avoid the mixture of corona and flu. The goal was for the children to be more at home. I see these children, high school and college students as adults, so I appeal to self-awareness. We must all adhere to the measure – stresses the epidemiologist.

Online teaching

That is, in the November 26 session, the proposal of the crisis staff for the fight against kovid-19 that students from all secondary schools, as well as older elementary students, from fifth to eighth grade, move to online classes starting Monday, November 30.

– In the period between November 30 and the start of the winter holidays, December 21, classes will be taught for students from fifth to eighth of primary school and for secondary school students. Winter break begins on December 21, 2020 and ends on January 15, 2021, and will be valid for all primary and secondary school students on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, according to the decision.

New measures of the weekend

The catering and service facilities will only be able to operate until 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and on weekends they will not be able to work at all, is one of the new measures proposed by the Crisis Staff, which will be adopted by the Serbian government in Thursday’s session.

The new measures, thus, will come into force on Friday, December 4, which means that they will be in force as of this weekend, and as we learn, they should be in effect for two weeks from the adoption.

Today, almost 8,000 are recently infected.

Today, almost 8,000 newly infected coronaviruses have been registered, out of a total of 22,837 analyzed, which is a record number. The black line continued, so up to 48 people died today as a result of the corona virus. Today fewer than 2,000 cases were registered in Belgrade, 1,968 people tested positive. In second place is Novi with 576, while in Kragujevac it is 343 and in Nis 229.
