Doctor Radmilo Janković: Today is the most difficult day at this peak of the epidemic

Director of the Anesthesia Clinic of the Nis Clinical Center, Radmilo Janković declared that today is the most difficult day in this “peak” coronavirus epidemics and fill capacities quickly.

According to him, KC Nis sees the largest number of patients who come from hour to hour, and who are life-threatening patients.

Jankovic told RTS that there are 40 patients in intensive care units.

“We can secure the admission of 800 patients, but if something is not done, KC Nis will also be under great pressure,” said Dr. Janković.

He noted that most of the patients were between the ages of 50 and 65, adding that it was quite clear that they had become infected by transmitting the virus to younger people.

He pointed out that the objective of the new measures must be aimed at the younger population, and that must happen as soon as possible.
