KRAGUJEVAC – Another marriage dispute ended in tragedy. Ljubinka P. (61) from Kragujevac is suspected of being beaten to death by her unmarried husband, Dobrivoje D. (61).
His body was found with serious bodily injuries and the case initially generated numerous controversies and unprecedented developments.
As Kurir learns, Ljubinka’s body was found in her unmarried husband’s home, where they lived together. They beat her to death. As we learn from the prosecution, Dobrivoje confessed to the murder to the police. That is, he first appeared at the Clinical Center with symptoms of poisoning and said that Ljubinka was also poisoned with hydrochloric acid. He told doctors that he wanted to commit suicide just like his wife, and then admitted to police that he had in fact beaten his unmarried wife. Later, as we learned, the police went to the house in Dobrivoje and found the woman’s body.
According to the testimony of the neighbors, they lived in very bad conditions, without electricity or water, which could be seen from the gate of the patio. The house is in disrepair and neighbors say the tragic couple had nothing to survive on.
“He has not had a job for more than 15 years and the murdered Ljubinka was begging in the streets and cutting firewood for wages. From time to time we buy them food, ”says the first neighbor, who wishes to remain anonymous.
Dobrivoje had five children from previous marriages: a son who drowned a few years ago and four daughters. According to neighbors, one of Dobrivoje’s daughters tried to remarry her stepmother, the murdered Ljubinka. She succeeded in that intention and Ljubinka left. As we found out more, Dobrivoje was determined to find her and returned to Kragujevac six days ago. According to the witness’s description, the fights then began, which intensified with the tragedy.
It is known that Dobrivoje admitted to the police the death of his wife and the investigation continues. He is in custody and will be questioned. According to information from the Autonomous Center for Women, she is the 22nd victim of intimate partner violence, that is, gender violence since the beginning of the year.
