The family tragedy occurred around noon on Wednesday in Petrovaradin, in the courtyard of the family’s house at Nova Street 11, in Tranžament, and according to unofficial information, the couple allegedly planned to end their lives together like this. They realized their plan when their daughter unit, who lived with them, went to town on business. It was she who caught the horrible sight when she returned home. He found his mother and father dead, still showing signs of life, in the yard behind the house. They were both in chairs, which they led out onto the patio.
The ambulance team was only able to declare the death of the woman, while Dušan was taken to the Emergency Center in serious condition.
That the couple planned to die together is also confirmed by their Petrovaradin acquaintances, to whom Dušan allegedly mentioned it on Wednesday.
– Dušanka has been very ill for the last year. She was in great pain and that bothered Dušan and it was difficult for him because of that, an acquaintance of the married couple tells us. – He said he couldn’t live without her. They were extremely attached to each other, careful with each other, they went everywhere together, they did not separate. They were an example of marital harmony for all.
Neighbors assume that Dušan, who has had some health problems lately, took his wife out of the house, who was having difficulty moving due to illness, and then they sat on chairs and achieved what they wanted. As we know, they were found in front of the house.
– They escaped from Croatia in the 1990s and lived in collective accommodation in Čačak for a while, and then a few years later they started building houses here in Tranžament, says one of the acquaintances of this family. – We assume that the gun with which he fired was brought from Croatia.
