The black clouds, which brought heavy rain and the city of Belgrade around noon, have long since dispersed, but the current weather conditions should not deceive us. Meteorologists are announcing new rainfall in the next two hours, so don’t put off your umbrellas.
– In the next two hours, it will rain in places in eastern Serbia, and in Banat there will be local rains with thunder – the latest announcement is on the website of the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute.
A yellow weather alarm is in effect throughout Serbia, which means the weather is potentially dangerous.
– Forecasting weather events are not uncommon, but caution is needed if you are planning activities that are exposed to weather hazards. Information on forecast meteorological conditions should be continued. Don’t take unnecessary risks, the RHMZ meteorologists explained.
Torrents, hail and darkness in the middle of the day
A heavy storm followed by rain and strong wind, and in some places rain, thunder and hail, affected most of Belgrade around noon. Due to the large amount of rainfall in a short time, some streets of the capital were flooded. And as drivers from the central parts of the city battled the torrents, “across the river” it was raining so much that it seemed as if it had grown dark in broad daylight. On the other hand, fellow citizens who were in Ada Ciganlija at the time of the disaster witnessed the typhoon.
