The Belgrade High Court has ruled that TV Pink will pay 100,000 dinars in compensation to the President of the Freedom and Justice Party (SAA), Dragan Djilas, due to the falsehoods that Zeljko Mitrovic, the owners of that television, said about him, SAA announced today.
Photo: BetaThe court also ordered the editor of the news program of that television, Goran Gmitrić, to read without delay the verdict and the comments within the program “Nacionalni dnevnik”, which established that Mitrović was telling falsehoods against Đilas in his open letter.
“Although it took three years to establish that Mitrovic was lying, although the amount of compensation is ridiculous, it is important that the Serbian courts confirm that Pink is not a television but a hate factory that insults, mistreats and endangers the safety of anyone who opposes this regime, “the SAA said in a statement.
The SAA estimated that Serbia will be a free country when confrontations with people who think differently cease and when national frequencies for confrontations with political opponents cease to be abused.
“There will be no media like Pink in such a Serbia,” the statement added.
