Djilas: Vucic and Vesic already lost Belgrade, and will also lose Serbia – Vesti

“Vucic and Vesic have already lost Belgrade, and with the change in the media and the prevention of pressure on voters, they will also lose Serbia. The fight for electoral conditions is a turning point for our country: or we will live like the world normal or we will slide towards totalitarianism and neo-fascism. ” “No one has the luxury of putting personal sympathies, aspirations of positioning within the opposition to the national interest. Marinika is brave, the bravest, she does not stop, but she is also one of the many who fight from Subotica to Kursumlija”, said Dragan Djilas in an interview with Nova.rs, leader of the Freedom and Justice Party.

After the decisions that the SAA, the union of Sloga and PZP, on the one hand, and the People’s Party, on the other hand, form groups of separate committees in the Belgrade Assembly, and then the decisions of their party and DS of drafting the electoral conditions with PSG, will the Serbian United Opposition survive?

“We are currently in the phase of fighting for electoral conditions. We can only do that together. Those who do not understand that do not understand what would happen to Serbia if we did not win free elections. This fight is a turning point for our country. Either we will live like everyone else in the normal world or we will slide towards totalitarianism and total neo-fascism … In this situation, no one can afford to put personal sympathies, aspirations of positioning within the opposition to the national interest. That is my position. When there were floods, people hand in hand added a cat just to defend us. No one asked who was on the left and who was on the right. Now we are in the same situation. The opposition is not just political entities registered as parties or movements. The opposition is anyone who is against the regime. “And those who now have no faith in the fact that it is possible will see, and the regime will also see what that unification means,” Djilas told Nova.rs.

The bad relations between you and Vuk Jeremic are said to have contributed to the conflicts at UOPS. Do you have any communication?

“There is a pub song, ‘Let the stories run.’

What electoral conditions will the SAA, together with the DS and PSG, present to the authorities?

“Accurate and measurable. Those relating to the release of RTS, the prevention of the blackmail mechanism of employees of public companies who find themselves in a situation where their work depends on a secure vote for the regime. That is the question of the survival of Serbia. This may seem excessive to some, but I strongly support it. Either we will fight for free elections and finally start living instead of fighting for our lives every day, or we will disappear as a nation. I did not go into all this just to try. The price is too high. I came to make a difference. So there is no excessive price, “said Djilas.

We want to build a better Serbia

With whom will you destroy Vučić?

“We are not destroying anything. We want to build a better Serbia. The precondition for that is victory over Vučić. We will do that with anyone who is sincerely against him and his value system. And with those who will never vote for me.”

Bane Trifunovic called on the opposition to regain reason. Do you feel called?

“There are a lot of people who are exposed to the most terrible torture and harassment every day, but actually every day, from Subotica and Kikinda, to Vranje and Kursumlija. And not only them, but also members of their families , friends. And just because they are the opposition, they fight for change. Despite everything, and despite the daily offers to sell, to radically change their life, they do not give up. I think these people deserve at least as much as nobody insult “.

Some already see you as the future prime minister. Do you have such ambitions?

“My ambition is that Serbia will never return to the state it is in now. Change the regime, create a system that avoids the concentration of power. I know how it can be done. We have a plan.”

Marinika Tepic is a determined and honest fighter against the regime

The impression is that Marinika Tepic was the most outspoken of the SAA, and in recent months she has dedicated herself to revealing suspicious contracts between ministries and state companies with private companies, close to the government. It has been speculated that she could be a presidential candidate. Is that being prepared?

“Marinika is a determined and sincere fighter in the fight against the regime. She does not stop, she is brave. The bravest. She is one of many who are fighting from Kusumlija to Subotica, but of course they are not that visible. I know this because I travel through Serbia and meet them in all places. As for the presidential candidate, we will speak it publicly when we fight to have elections. “

Many believe that the opposition has the best chance in Belgrade. Who would you like to see from the ranks of the opposition in the office of mayor?

“Vucic and Vesic have already lost Belgrade. With the change in the media and the prevention of pressure on voters, they too will lose Serbia. I will not answer your second question and I think you understand why.”

Some of his colleagues were recently on RTS on the “Word for Word” show. Did someone call you on RTS and would you answer the call?

“No one has called me on RTS for years. RTS will not post any rejection when I write it, and the president of the state alone lied to RTS dozens of times that I stole hundreds of millions of euros. And nothing. Whether I will go to RTS depends on the format. I certainly will not be a backdrop to create the illusion of liberating the media. “

From this perspective, how do you see the decision to boycott the elections?

“The decision was honorable, difficult and good. We have a one-party parliament that has revealed what kind of people represent the regime and run Serbia. This is an untenable situation and that is why Vučić announced the elections even before he formed the Government. The boycott led to the recognition outside Serbia that we have a hybrid regime and the absence of a functioning democracy. A boycott will shorten your government. That was our goal that we met. “

Can the opposition afford another boycott?

“The thing is, Vučić can’t afford another electoral farce. He did everything he could to make the boycott fail, but everything. And it failed. And he knows it. He will do anything to maintain this state. And it won’t work. And he knows it. “.
