The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced tonight that Dragan Djilas’ statement that the NBS determined the legality of the business of the Belgrade Multikom Group, whose owner and legal representative he is, is incorrect. The NBS stated that it would submit a request to initiate a procedure for minor offenses, whereby a fine of up to two million dinars was threatened for those minor offenses and up to 150,000 dinars for the responsible person in the legal entity, the NBS said in a statement.

“Therefore, not even the minutes of the NBS could determine whether the aforementioned company acted legally or not in relation to these issues,” the central bank said. Multicom Group, as indicated, did not inform the NBS, it was delayed in reporting on the foreign direct investments it had abroad, in the Swiss companies Multikom Open AG and Open International AG.

The omission of the Multikom Group was also the fact that when carrying out international payment transactions, it indicated an incorrect code of the payment base, which has negative consequences on the balance of payments statistics, the NBS said in a statement.

The NBS announced that due to the infractions established to the regulations, it will present a request to initiate the fault file, taking into account that liability for errors due to these omissions is foreseen, with a sanction of up to two million dinars for the legal and responsible person. person in legal person up to 150,000 dinars.
