DAILY 20 TO 40 MORE RECEIVED THAN DISMISSED

In the past 10 days, more patients were admitted every day than were discharged from hospital treatment, and between 20 and 40 more patients were admitted daily than were discharged, said Dr. Kisić Tepavčević.

According to her, of the total number of laboratory confirmed cases of the corona virus, 15% require hospitalization.

Kisic reiterated that currently 530 patients are hospitalized and a third of them are in the KBC “Bežanijska kosa”.

He said that the occupation of health capacities should be closely monitored and that the authorities, he says, should think “some steps forward.”

-We are at the plus every day for 20 to 40 hospital beds. Every day in the last 10 days, more patients were admitted than discharged from the hospital, Kisić said.

IN ONE INFECTED OF 5 TO 10 PEOPLE CARRYING THE VIRUS

It is estimated that in the world there are five to 10 people who carry the virus in a person who has been confirmed to have the corona virus, without knowing it, said Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević.

Therefore, he pointed out, the application of general preventive measures is being promoted, that is, we must all act as potential carriers of the infection,

Kisić noted that since the beginning of the epidemic, information shows that in most cases there are mild forms of clinical manifestations of the disease or are asymptomatic cases.

According to her, the groups most at risk of complications, if they become infected, are the elderly and those suffering from various chronic diseases and immunodeficiencies.

THE GREATEST NUMBER OF PATIENTS HAVE A MEDIUM IMAGE

In most cases, patients have a mild form or asymptomatic manifestations, according to Dr. Kisić Tepavčević.

– The highest risk of complications is for the elderly and people with chronic diseases, and practically everyone can be at risk – said Dr. Kisić Tepavčević. – The active working population and the group of young adults are those most at risk, due to the greater intensity of contact with a greater number of people.

DR KISIĆ ANSWERED WHY THE STATE OF EMERGENCY IS NOT PRESENTING NOW

Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević stated that the state of emergency in Serbia was introduced in March due to kovid, although there were fewer people infected in absolute numbers than now, because then no one was ready for the first wave of kovid 19 spreading in Europe like a tsunami. and because initially there was insufficient testing from both respirators and healthcare facilities

-In the beginning, the whole world was surprised by this virus and nobody was prepared.

The virus spread rapidly and we were among the last countries in Europe where the virus entered. That is why we were able to see the experiences of other countries, especially in Italy and Spain, where the capacities were too small – he said, answering the journalists’ question why a state of emergency is not introduced now as before when we have more positive ones.

Kisic Tepavcevic says that the elderly and those in nursing homes were the most in danger and that the state’s priority was to take preventive measures and prevent that at first.
The first wave of the corona spread like a tsunami and we wanted to stretch the epidemiological curve, he added.

In the meantime, he notes, tests and respirators have been purchased, new labs have been opened, and new capacities have been opened.

Likewise, Kistic Tepavcevic adds that everyone expected that the population would gain herd immunity, but that the corona virus in many segments was denied by the experts, and that the introduction of strict measures was shown to be correct in the beginning.
