Aleksandar M. (68) from Ćuprija was arrested on suspicion of raping an 84-year-old fellow citizen on October 2, and the old woman recognized him by his voice because he could barely see because of the cataract he had!
The old woman was on Friday in the green market of the city, where she sold merchandise. Way home. The suspect, Aleksandar M., allegedly stopped the car and offered to drive her home. As the old woman is ill, she has cataracts in her eyes, so she cannot see well, she did not recognize the suspect, but thought he was one of her acquaintances. She got into the car and sat in the back seat.
The car headed towards the town of Ivankovac, where she veered off the road and the suspect raped her in the car. The unfortunate woman tried to defend herself, asked for help, but since no one was passing, her prayers were in vain.
When the sexual predator, himself in his later years, ended up stalking an old fellow citizen, kicked her out of the vehicle with green market stuff and drove off in an unknown direction.
After that, another car arrived, the driver saw the mutilated woman and stopped her. The old woman told her everything and asked for help, so the driver took her to the doctor. The woman was immediately referred for a gynecological examination and it was determined that she had been raped.
The police and the prosecution were immediately informed about this sexual crime, so the rapist’s DNA profile was made.
– The old woman does not see the best, so she could not describe the man who sexually abused her. Due to her age, but also because she does not understand the car models, she could not even describe the vehicle driven by the rapist – “Blic” learns from a source familiar with the investigation.
The cameras filmed the rapist
The biological traces left by the rapist were not found in the sex offender database, which also made it difficult to investigate and identify the suspect. The cameras came to the rescue, so the inspectors, based on the video of the security cameras in the part of the city where the old woman was moving, next to the green market, identified the car in which the unfortunate woman got on, waiting for an “acquaintance” to take her home. Once it was determined which car the rapist was driving, the registry established who owned the vehicle and therefore the suspect.
She recognized him by his voice
Aleksandar M. was detained and, as we learn, denied having sexually assaulted the unfortunate old woman. His DNA profile was compared to the biological trace of the rapist.

Suspect Aleksandar M. has not been arrested so far. After his arrest, he was detained for up to 48 hours and will be taken to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Jagodina for questioning.

According to information from “Blic”, there were still reports of sexual assault on older women in the Ćuprija territory, so it is being verified whether the suspect Aleksandar M. is behind these attacks.
