Behind bars were owner VG (57), his wife EG (49) and aide NO (41) from nearby Vladimirac.

As “Novosti” finds out, during the break-in at the “Golden Beam”, the police found four girls in the company of three clients, two of whom are regulars. All the prostitutes are very young and are three South Serbian citizens, while one had a passport from neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the search of the premises, 21,840 euros, 850 Swiss francs, 2,080 dollars, 820 kuna, 700 convertible marks and 42,000 dinars were found. By order of the Superior Prosecutor of Šabac, the suspects were detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought before the prosecutor with a criminal report.

The three detainees are accused of the crime of human trafficking and are suspected of organizing their sexual exploitation in order to obtain an illegal gain of property over a long period of time, using the difficult circumstances of women.

“REINFORCEMENTS” FOR THE WEEKEND

Experts say that many young women from Belgrade and Novi Sad “work” in Sabac during the weekend. They come for a wealthy clientele and earn only on cigarettes, cell phone recharges, lodging and splashing in the pool.

It is no secret in Majur what has been happening in the “Golden Beam” for many years. The “brain” of the job is Madame Stella, as the owner Velja’s wife is called, who came from one of the former republics of the Soviet Union in the mid-2000s.

“Chief Velja has not been able to work since he suffered a stroke, but that’s why Madame is at her full potential,” says a resident of Majura. – Stella seeks out and recruits girls who are in the mood for quick profits, takes care of their health and nutrition as well as their clothes.

Majurci knows that the lady and the girls, once a week, go to the market near the Macvina de Sabac stadium, where they are supplied with underwear and other necessities necessary to attract customers. They do not say anything bad about the neighbor, on the contrary: she is willing to help and borrow money if necessary. But nobody really likes being with her.

– The boat in “Zlatna greda” lasts at least 20 years, if not more. At the end of the nineties, Ukrainians, Moldovans, Russians stayed there … The police came and arrested them, confiscated their passports, expelled them across the Drina to the Republika Srpska, but they returned two days later. As soon as they find out who will take them across the river by boat – says our knowledgeable interlocutor.

According to those familiar with this topic, there are many valuable hosts of public and economic life among customers, who are informed on this topic. The girls who provide services also know well what they are getting into, so people here don’t feel much sorry for them.

That the people of Šabac are not at all naive when it comes to prostitution is also demonstrated by the fact that one of the most famous Serbian pimps, Mihailo Maksimović, was born in this city. According to insiders, Sabac has been a real “mecca” for prostitutes for a long time, and the girls who measure customers are not a rare occurrence on the bridge, the ring road to Loznica, the road to Ruma …

However, most women and girls work for a pittance, and police officers often leave them alone, just to facilitate the prosecution of their clients, who are often perpetrators of crime.
