Sava Center is a loser, it loses two million euros, there are only 16 thousand square meters of commercial space left, all the pavilions are for rent, and when adding the sale price with the necessary investments, we are not satisfied with the first price of 27 , 5 million euros. offer. This price of 17.5 million euros is also high, but it is estimated that it will be accepted, says Živorad Vasić, vice president of Delta.

Delta Holding consultants concluded that investments of more than 50 million euros are needed for the renovation of the Sava Center. Commenting on the assessment that the value of the Sava Center is underestimated, Vasić asks why other companies did not apply for the tender, if everything is so profitable and cheap.

Remember that the Delta company has completed all the projects started, that it has invested 2,500 million euros since its creation, that it has a Holiday Inn and Bel exhibition center, and that it has two responsibilities at the Sava Center, investing the planned amount and renovating building. and inside, recover its former splendor and provide facilities for congress tourism, but also responsibility to citizens, to maintain the old Sava Center, as well as the old Intercontinental, now Crown Plaza, which was also renovated by Delta.

When 5,000 people attend a congress to be organized at the Sava Center, the city of Belgrade and the state will benefit from it, says Delta’s vice president.

Commenting on criticism that all the Sava Center employees had to leave the company under pressure prior to the sale, he said that he was unaware that the tender conditions were clear, as for the employees who worked at the Sava Center during For many years, there is a clear obligation in the tender, which Delta fully complies with.

When asked what the contractual obligations are, Vasić does not specify how he regulates the situation of these workers, but points out that the obligation is that the Sava Center must be renewed in the next five years.

The renovated congress center will have digital communications, cafes and restaurants, car rental agencies, guide services, everything that guests and congressmen expect.

Regarding the contract for the tenants of the space at the Sava Center, and the contract with Telecom for 10 years concluded immediately before the tender, Vasić says that the tender documentation indicates that there are more than 176 tenants.

Delta’s vice president notes that all contracts will be reviewed and made to be commercial and appropriate.

“I do not know what Telecom rents and how many square meters, but Delta Holding has always had many partners. In any case, we will return the Sava Center to its former glory, we will make the congress center that Belgrade needs,” concludes Vasic.
