The Puente Romano club said they did not know that Novak was not allowed to train, and that they only received a letter from the Spanish Tennis Association informing them in the afternoon. They didn’t interpret the rules well, so it’s their fault.
– We did not know that the new measure was that we should not train outdoors until May 11, because we received a letter from the Federation late. We regret the misinterpretation of the rules and are aware that, for the same reason, Mr. Djokovic could have problems, as stated in the announcement of this club.
