The newly elected president of the National Assembly, Ivica Dačić, declared that he was very satisfied with his current role, recalling that he is a professional politician.
“I have been in politics for many years and began my career in the Assembly. I was in all the mandates of the Assembly. So I joked that I came home. There I built my political career, but there is another dynamic, ”said Dacic. by Pink and added that he is grateful to have been nominated for the position.
I am a professional politician, I am not a businessman, for me it has been achieving goals since I entered parliament, he said.
As he says, the executive branch has advantages and disadvantages, adding that parliament is only politics.
“When a man enters the executive branch, she gets him a little intoxicated. I am very grateful for this position, it is the highest position I have received so far,” Dacic said.
He points out that President Vučić had to think strategically when he had something planned in terms of personnel.
Dacic also revealed a detail from more than a decade ago, when then-Serbian President Boris Tadic, who served in that term from 2008-2012, offered him to be Police Minister.
“When Tadic proposed me to be interior minister, I was angry, I did not come to work for two days. Am I a politician to be interior minister,” Dacic said, adding that the executive intoxicated the man.
There are some attributes of power, so someone thinks they are more powerful than him, said the newly elected president of the National Assembly.
Vlajic: Intra-party struggle in the SPS
Journalist Đorđe Vlajić is a guest on H1, and when asked how he sees the disagreements between the SPS and the SNS about the name of the Ministry of Education and one without a portfolio, and if so, how the media speculated about Branko Ruzic and Novica Toncev (to which there were many objections in the SNS), said that it would be an internal struggle of the party in the SPS and a confrontation.
Neither party is monolithic and subject to the will of the leader, with the exception of the SNS, Vlajic added. “The situation here is a little more complicated, this small number of ministries and Ivica Dacic’s honorary place in parliament is just a further collapse of the SPS and the marginalization of this party,” he says.
He estimates that the SPS seeks political survival, willingly or not, in the embrace of Aleksandar Vučić. That will be one of the important elements in decision-making in the SPS – about who should act as minister, but not exactly, Vlajić concludes.
