“That involves strategic thinking, whether it is necessary to expand the ruling coalition on the political scene, or we will all go independently,” Dacic said.
It highlights that the strategy involves a joint presidential candidate, a joint list for the municipal elections and a joint list for the parliamentary elections.
When asked if he feared his electorate would reject him, Dacic said voters would “certainly accept” the strategic agreement, if it exists.
“What does a strategic agreement mean?” That it is not a vote for the SNS or for Vučić, but it is part of the general policy of my party. And that is a vote for both the SPS and Ivica Dacic. I say that precisely because I think it is probably important to gather all the votes from that political side, and not waste them, ”said the Speaker of the Serbian Assembly and leader of the SPS.
He noted that, in the context of the elections announced for 2022, socialists, along with progressives, must “seriously consider all the challenges that await them.”
“One is a challenge for the state and the people, and the other is the elections that await us,” Dacic said, adding that the presidential and municipal elections are safe and probably parliamentary.
