The President of the Serbian Assembly, Ivica Dačić, stated that the Parliament was never a “theater”, so it only spoke about items on the agenda, but always spoke about the political situation in society.

“Parliament is a political arena,” Dacic told Serbian Radio Television (RTS), and when he stated that government deputies also deal with the non-parliamentary opposition, especially some of its leaders, he responded that he also dealt with the government.

He also claimed that he is a “popular guy” who is moved by sentiment, unlike the President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vučić, who “looks at the investigation”, and believes that many of the opposition would not even enter the Assembly.

Speaking of the inter-party dialogue, he said that it was agreed with the president of the European Parliament’s Foreign Policy Committee, David McAllister, to discuss the details after Christmas according to the Julian calendar, because now not much is known.

“I do not know who wants the parties to participate in them, nor who will represent the European Parliament (EP),” said Dacic, who is the co-chair of that dialogue, with the representative of the EP.

When asked about the opposition’s demands, he asked: “Is the Democratic Party calling for the separation of the presidential and parliamentary elections, which merged them and whose president Boris Tadic shortened his term?”

“Don’t let them tell me about the civil servants’ campaign, when they didn’t take off the TV! Don’t let them paint me, I’m like Alan Ford’s number one, I remember everything!” Dačić said.

Speaking about the coronavirus epidemic, he said that he would receive a vaccine that passes the test if his health allows it, adding: “I am officially cute”, he has a high sugar level.

Dacic said that his coalition partner United Serbia President Dragan Markovic – “Palma” did not attack the epidemiologist Predrag Kon in the Assembly, but “only against the crown as the sole issue” because “it creates psychosis and a bad environment in the society”. .
