The explosive device placed under the jeep of Strahinja Stojanović (30), who was killed on Sunday in New Belgrade, was probably set off by a cyclist, who was in the immediate vicinity.
– The images of the security cameras of the surrounding buildings were reviewed and the movement of all the passers-by who were found near the Omladinskih Brigada street at the time of the explosion was verified. Investigators were most attracted to a man dressed as a professional cyclist, who was filmed by cameras as he passed not far from the place where Stojanović exploded, according to an investigation source, which was about blocks from New Belgrade in the direction of the Sava River, write “Kurir”.
According to him, the bicycle corresponding to the one in the video was found thrown into the Sava River, near the promenade in Block 45 in New Belgrade, and it is suspected that the killer escaped with it from the scene of the explosion.
– The man, whose identification is being worked on, had a helmet and a cap on his head, which did not arouse the suspicion of passers-by because professional cyclists usually wear that protective equipment – added the interlocutor.
The investigation also established that between one kilogram and one kilogram of pentrite explosives were placed under the BMW under the driver’s seat.
