Political analyst Cvijetin Milivojevic stated that giving up the boycott announced by Serbian movement leader Dveri, Bosko Obradovic, does not see it as the end of the boycott, but rather as the end of the passive and the beginning of the active boycott.
He told the Beta agency that the boycott must be active to be noticed and that Obradović is right about it.
“Right now, this action is the only possible idea if you are for a boycott.” If you can’t go to television on a national frequency, then you go to the feet of the citizens to encourage them, “said Milivojević, adding that it would be good for other members of the Alliance for Serbia (SzS) to go through that kind of fight, not necessarily “guerrilla”, as Obradović called it, but some others calmer.
“Whoever decided to boycott must show an active boycott, and one that an ordinary citizen who is not politically passionate will understand,” said the Beta interlocutor.
According to him, starting a hunger strike in front of the Serbian Parliament was also a good idea.
“Bosko ended the press conference, he had no idea what he would do in the afternoon, but he saw that (Miladin) Sevarlic was on a hunger strike and joined him in the strike,” he said.
That irritated the ruling party, which is why MPs from the Serbian Progressive Party, Aleksandar Martinović and Sandra Božić, went on strike, which shows how good the idea was.
“Now the question is why none of the MPs for the Alliance for Serbia came.” They are a little above the situation, it seems to me. If the boycott campaign is conducted in this way, it is doomed to zero results, “said Milivojevic, concluding that the objective of the civil disobedience action is to target all citizens regardless of their political affiliation.
