At 3 p.m. in the Republic of Serbia, a total of 1,173,582 people who met the criteria to define a case were tested for coronavirus.
Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesić and Dr. Zoran Baščarević address the public.
Dr. Kisić pointed out that the highest number of infected people in the last 24 hours was registered in Belgrade, as well as that the epidemiological situation in schools is stable.
“As we can see, we have seen an increase in the number of infected people in recent days, and if we look at the risk of disease at the level of the whole of Europe, we are still one of the countries with the lowest disease rate, and it depends on everyone keep it that way. ” is Dr. Kisic.
He warned that the situation could get worse in a very short period of time and said the epidemic was worsening throughout the region.
– The example of China shows us better that if we are disciplined, and we act responsibly and conscientiously, something like this does not have to happen, more precisely it does not have to get worse – said Dr. Kisić, and said that the results we recorded in the last months show that discipline shows its results.
Deputy Mayor Goran Vesić said that it is natural that Belgrade is the largest access point, because Belgrade is the largest city in Serbia.
– All large cities are especially in danger, and represent a possible source of spread of the infection, and that is why we will pay special attention to the places where the infection can spread, namely public transport and catering facilities – Vesić said, and recalled that for two days now inspections control public transport, and that a large number of fines have been drawn up.

– Regarding catering facilities, we have drafted 183 misdemeanor orders. What is important to note is that there are no infected in terms of economic activities. The economy must work, we must not allow the economy to grow again, and that depends on our responsibilities. I call for the measures to be respected and we will insist that the masks are used indoors.
Vesić said that if we adhere to the measures and do not attend the parties, we will avoid introducing more difficult measures.
Dr. Kisić Tepavčević recalled that all the measures that were adopted remained in force, regardless of whether the epidemiological situation was easier.
– Wearing a mask in the right way absolutely saves lives, that is the best prevention. This measure is very effective and you will have no alternative even when the vaccine arrives. The basic measure is the mandatory use of protective masks indoors, and it is also recommended to wear them outdoors when it is not possible to establish a safe distance.
He recalled that it is forbidden to gather up to 500 people and that the use of public masks is also mandatory in public transport.
– At the suggestion of crisis staff, starting tomorrow, the catering facilities, cafes and crafts will not be allowed to operate after 11 pm – said Dr. Kisić.
Dr. Baščarević pointed out that orthopedic operations could not be performed at the Banjica Orthopedic Institute due to the epidemic.
– That is why I ask the citizens, I am not appealing, but I ask them to respect the measures so that the Orthopedic Institute can continue to deal with orthopedics and to help the sick – said Baščarević.
When asked how the control of the catering facilities will be strengthened, Vesić said that the fact is that there are facilities that do not respect working hours, and asked the media to be responsible and report on it.
– We have coordinated so that members of the health inspection, communal militia and police participate in the control. Due to the Crisis Staff decision, some facilities can no longer play with what is a garden and what is closed.
Dr. Baščarević explained how the transfer of hospitals to the covid system is like, saying that from the moment of the decision the admission of patients is stopped, but only the treatment of those who are there continues, until the zero condition of the patients.

– Now we are constantly going from one cycle to another. We went very quickly to the state of kovid, our institute is spacious, each patient has her own bed and is comfortable. But the moment Kovid’s patients are admitted, all other patients with malignancies and trauma must stop being treated in Banjica. And where are these people? Well, in smaller hospitals, which are not in the kovid system, which do not have enough capacity to take care of everything. We then refer all malignant patients to Oncology, and treat them according to priorities.
Vesić emphasized that the creation of a viber application has been announced, where citizens will be able to send photos of violations of measures, so that the authorities can react.
Dr. Kisić Tepavčević said that about 5 percent of the infected people who were infected abroad, mainly in Montenegro, noting that most of our tourists behaved in a disciplined manner.
– Almost without exception, people were infected at celebrations and parties, as evidenced by the anamnesis of all patients.
