In the session of the Crisis Staff for the fight against the coronavirus, the epidemiological situation in Serbia was discussed and it was decided that there would be no mitigation of the existing measures. It was also decided that citizens of Serbia who were fully vaccinated with the Sinofarm, Pfizer and Sputnik vaccines, as well as citizens who received a dose of the AstraZenec vaccine, could enter the country without a negative PCR test or isolation. The same will apply to foreigners.
Provincial Health Secretary Zoran Gojković stated after the crisis staff session that there are still a large number of citizens gained and that the existing measures have contributed to the sudden exponential growth of newly infected people.
“It is necessary that we all comply with the existing measures as much as possible and that we are all vaccinated, because only vaccines can get us out of the epidemic in the long term,” Gojković said.
He added that the request of the Ministry of Education to allow, mainly students who have been in online classes since the beginning of the year, to be evaluated in small groups in schools where there is a possibility of that was analyzed.
Gojković noted that the easing of the measures was not discussed.
It should be remembered that the Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesić, demanded that shopping centers and catering establishments be opened with special conditions and measures, while the epidemiologist Predrag Kona says that this is not yet realistic because the activity of the virus is great.
