“Blic” wrote about Stanković in 2006, when he was arrested with another Dragan Radivojević, an actor, and the Macedonians Aleksandar Spirovski and Sreten Spasovski, because they broke into 65 villages in the Czech Republic, of which they took a loot worth one million of euros. . This group of thieves was the first in this area to work in an organized way and fell in the Czech Republic. In a way, it made a breakthrough for criminals from this area to the Czech Republic, which later resulted in hiding far more dangerous people in Prague than these thieves.

What made the group of thieves, including Stanković, recognizable was that they had access to the villas of politicians and pop stars thanks to Radivojević and his intimate relationship with Dara Rolinac, a singer who was considered a sex bomb at the time. As the group ransacked the villa of Karel Got, the Czech Republic’s most popular singer for decades, who also recorded a duet with Rolincov, it was speculated that Radivojević obtained the information necessary for a successful robbery from her. During the arrest, weapons and stolen items were found near the suspects. Stankovic was in custody for a year and, due to a series of robberies, was threatened with a prison term of five to 12 years.

Stankovic grew up surrounded by people on the other side of the law because his father Dimitrija, named Stankela, was once accused of being a member of the criminal group “Firma”, which, according to the Special Prosecutor’s Office, sold drugs in the territory of Novi Sad.

Dimitrije Stanković Sr. was arrested in Operation “Saber”. When he was charged, the media wrote that he stood out from the rest of the detainees not only in appearance, because he had long gray hair in a ponytail, but also because he was the father of nine children. And Stanković himself, otherwise a caterer, protested at trial over the testimony of Miladin Suvajdžić, also known as Đuro Mutavi, an associate witness.

At that time, Major Stanković brought criminal charges against the prosecutor, the investigating judge and the president of the Novi Sad District Court. In the end, the elderly Stanković was sentenced to eight years in prison.
