The US president’s special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Richard Grenell, visited Belgrade on Tuesday, and in addition to the working part of the visit, US and Serbian officials also enjoyed the music.
On this occasion, President Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and Finance Minister Siniša Mali sang two American songs together with Grenel.
In the video that Grenel published on his Twitter profile, with the comment “Serbs and Americans in Belgrade sing about Alabama and West Virginia, an incredible night”, the song “Take me home, rural roads” is heard, which was the one that Minister Siniša enjoyed the most. The little one, who sang it with pleasure.
In the next posted video, the Serbian and American delegations relaxed with a drink and a chat to the well-known song “Sweet home Alabama”.
These two songs are classics, symbols of the American expansions, which marked the music of the seventies of the last century in the United States of America.
“Sweet home Alabama” describes southern hospitality and good food, while another song that was in the repertoire became a symbol of West Virginia, which is described as a paradise on Earth. It is a kind of tribute to the mountainous landscape of this country.
