Confession of a Serb who AVOIDED THE KIDNAPPING OF A GIRL (2) in Berlin: I stood in front of him and asked him: “Is that your son?”, And he was confused and said: “Shut up, shut up”.

The owner of a kiosk in Berlin, Zoran Zivkovic (44), who prevented a maniac from kidnapping a two-year-old girl from a playground in Berlin on June 18 this year, arrived in Belgrade after three months and reveals new details of the failed hijacking for the first time.

He says that rescuing the girl was risky because the kidnapper had the girl on his shoulders and points out that he was afraid of hurting her.

– I did not think for a moment when an Indian from the neighborhood told me that a tall man from the park had taken someone else’s child. She ran after her and left her son, and then she saw me in front of my kiosk. She said to me, “Zoran, this man seems to have taken someone else’s child!” She said she turned twice when she left. I ran after him about 150 meters, but couldn’t ask him anything because we were passing through a cafe garden. It wasn’t until she stopped at the end of the street that I stood in front of her and asked, “Is that your son?” He wanted to give me the girl and he started to put her down, telling her to come down, but I said: “No, no, take the girl to the park.” – says Zoran and adds that the kidnapper in the park gave the girl to her mother.

– He talked to her normally! A police patrol has already arrived at the park and the first thing they asked me was if I had brought it by force! I said no and I have a video. They didn’t ask him anything! Only when he said he was thirsty did they take him away. The Indian woman was immediately called by the police and no one called me. They told me not to give the recording to anyone, but when I saw that they took it out that same night, I gave it to the media! Some media offered me money for it, but I did not want to accept it. I gave it to everyone just because they let it go so lightly. They said that he had 2.2 per thousand of alcohol in his blood and that he was mentally ill, as well as that he had a residence in Berlin. That surprised me because that person would be detained in Serbia for a long time. Maybe he’s a pedophile, and maybe he’d sell someone a child! – says rebellious Zoran.

A week later, the girl’s father invited Zoran and the Indian woman to lunch at a restaurant.

– He thanked us and gave everyone a sunflower flower. He told us that his wife and children no longer go to that park and that he would tell the girl what happened when she was 16 or 17 years old. The Indian woman goes to a psychologist because of the stress she has survived. She has a two-year-old son and fears being a general maniac. Nobody calls me, but I’m glad I saved a little angel. And I would do the same again – says Zoran.

Zoran is a citizen of Belgrade from Banjica. His nickname is Sova, due to his distinctive dark circles. That’s how he knows it, he says, all of Banjica. He has been abroad for 18 years and has lived in Germany for almost a decade. First he lived in Aachen, then in Berlin. Before Germany, he was in France for four years.

– Everyone recognizes me and calls me. I am happy to have done it. It helped me a lot that I was in the military police in Serbia, for six months in the Sombor airport and the same amount in the Slatina airport – says Zoran.

He received a silver coin with the image of Karadjordj

Archpriest Staurophore Dragan congratulated Zivkovic on his bravery and presented him with a silver coin with the image of Karadjordj and the book “Prologue of Ohrid” by Saint Nikolai Zicki. The silver coin was made by the priest Vojislav Bilbija from Rotterdam on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the first Serbian uprising. Zivkovic also received a congratulatory message from German Interior Minister Horst Zehofer.
