The Minister for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, Gordana Čomić, stated that her department is not responsible for political dialogue, but that it falls within the competence of the National Assembly and the European Parliament.

When asked what his reasons were for accepting the ministerial position, Gordana Comic replied that they were obvious.
“Serbia needs a ministry like this and I will try to do everything from the Ministry’s plan. All I have to offer the public is a result that the Ministry will have in a year or it will not be magnet. It is so simple. I am aware of the amount of criticism that exists only because this Ministry and I exist in it. And I thank these and such criticisms, because together we create an opportunity to apply article 8 of the Law on Public Information and Media, because the designated and appointed person is obliged to silently suffer criticism at their expense, “Comic said.
