The deputy prosecutor for organized crime, Sasa Drecun, pointed out that the defendants are accused of committing a crime as an organized criminal group: illegal production and distribution of the narcotic cannabis, by order of Koluvija. The defense claims that it has already contested the prosecution evidence in the preparatory hearings. The trial continues tomorrow.

For more than an hour, the prosecutor repeated, that is. read the indictment numbers, accurately indicating the amount of cannabis found in each bag seized in Jovanjica. It also says that from May 2016 to November 2019, Predrag Koluvija led a group of nine people who, according to the prosecutor, knowingly grew and sold cannabis, and not industrial hemp.
During the search of three facilities, the police discovered exactly 1,673,310 grams of that drug. And then the judge asked the defendants to plead guilty. Predrag Koluvija denied what he is accused of.

“I understood the accusation. I did not do anything that the prosecution stated, I did not have the role of organizer, nor did any of the defendants do what is written in the accusation. I am sure that we will prove it in the subsequent course of the proceedings. “Koluvija said.

The others repeated the same, except for Koluvija’s first partner, Sergej Mrdja, who is at large. In his introductory statement, the prosecutor, among other things, cited the words of up to 115 witnesses as evidence.

The prosecutor also mentioned the monthly electricity bills of all the millions of dinars, the tariff that dictates the production of cannabis, as well as the secret request for telephone agreements of this group.

And after the trial, Koluvija’s lawyer, Zora Dobricanin, approached reporters with the message that she would not speak too much because she did not want to reveal the details of her introductory speech.

“Most of this evidence that the prosecutor asserts, we disputed at the preparatory hearing in detail and with arguments. Most of the evidence was obtained illegally,” says Dobricanin.
